This dance photo was taken in Cornelia, GA at the Cornelia community house. I love the stone archways there and I wanted a dancer who was tall enough to take advantage of the height of the arches. With long legs, this ballerina was perfect for what I was looking for in this location. A high arabesque with a contemporary arm pose makes this a modern and yet classic ballet photo. I chose the olive green leotard to work with the brown stone of the archways to continue the earth-tone natural feeling on the image. I really enjoy a montotone feeling in my photos, so I would have preferred a brown leo for this if I could have gotten one.
