This family session marks the beginning of the fall portrait season for me. It may LOOK like autumn already, but this was done at 8am because it’s like 100 degrees already by noon here still. Ick. So I gave mom my wardrobe suggestions and she went about this, but apparently, the night before decided she needed some extra color in the outfits. So she made the two yellow flowers the girls are wearing. I know, because the eleven-year-old told me. Normally it’s the toddlers that are proud of mom and the preteens are over there rolling their eyes. But no, this girl pops out of the car, holds out her dress and says “My MOM made this!” So sweet.
We trucked around downtown Athens GA for this photo session. They wanted something a bit more modern since they hadn’t had photos made for their family for the last five years. I suggested downtown, and I think that the second image is one of my favorite family photos in a long time!
