As I continue my journey into being a fitness and dance photographer, I feel like that means being a martial arts photographer as well. So since my husband (who is not interested in photos ever) is a triple black belt at AKF Itto Martial Arts in Athens, I knew I could get a few aikidoka and jodo practitioners to practice on. I borrowed Richard here as my first guinea pig. If anything, it’s even harder than dance photography! They’re just as fast (if not faster/snappier), and there is often not a lead-in to a lot of the moves to give me a warning on timing. That said, I felt like I got a good number of images for him and I look forward to more!
