Once long ago, in the deep and mighty wood, there lived a fairy. She strolled through the grass trying to smile, but the sight of the wood caused her great heartache, for the wood was densely gray, and had not had color in its flowers for 100 years. Still, she could not bear to see it this way and knew she had to do something. The flowers who had not yet bloomed, all whispered to one another when they saw her approaching. They danced in the wind at the sight of her presence. She stretched her fingertips and colors began to swirl over each petal. The wood seemed to come alive in that moment, rejoicing in the beauty she had brought. The sun poured over her in quiet gratitude, and the little fairy smiled a smile just as big as her heart.
